It's what keeps the denarii flowing into those faction coffers. anyway the senate had only one army and i caught it out in the open, 2 armies vs 1, destroying most of its troops before it got back into the city on the next turn (even though i lost the battle). The economy plays a huge role in Total War: Rome Remastered. i try bribing everything that belongs to the enemy really, diplomats, armies. after a couple of failed city assaults by autoresolve you can get rome. i did autoresolve the battle on rome (and on the julii and scipii cities in italy) cos i hate fighting city battles but you need a lot of armies and money. after you declare war on the senate it doesn't matter how high your popularity is. the support will go down but you can always increase your support among the plebs when you are ready by lowering your tax rates and giving them games and all for the turn. Once you get the message popup saying you can attack rome start massing armies on italy cos that means you have enough provinces. It's on medium, so I don't think I'm doing bad. I've won well over 150 battles, and only lost 25. Each turn I bring in anywhere from 29-50 thousand denarii(I have 4 cities that are negative) My capital cities yields 3500 per turn. I hope to have in my army: General, 6 praetorian calvary,6-8 praetorian cohorts, 3 auxilia spearmen, and 4 auxilia archers. I am training more praetorian cohorts and calvary now. With him comes 4 praetorian cohorts, 2-3 praetorian calvary, and a few legions and auxilia archers and spearmen. No more than one party may hold regions in a province. This becomes more noticeable as you expand your factions land.) 2. (More Influence Bigger share of your factions provinces. I am in the process of recalling my 9 star general from the upper regions. A partys provinces should broadly speaking reflect its Influence. I killed over 300+ of his men and didn't capture Rome. I assaulted the gates with onagers, and killed his commanding general, and still lost. In Rome 2 every Faction is part of a specific Culture, and each of those Cultures is part of one of four broad Cultural Groups. I attacked with 300+ men and Rome had 500+ or more.
